Six Reasons Why You Should Be Saved Today

For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

2 Corinthians 6:2 (NKJV)
Hebrews. 3:7-15

INTRODUCTION:
God has provided salvation through Christ and proclaimed that salvation through Christ. The message of salvation by grace is the greatest message ever proclaimed. “Today is the day of salvation.” All through the years men have been told that they could be saved instantly. This is the great message of the Holy Spirit. He calls today and you can be saved and have the assurance of salvation now.

1. IF IT IS EVER RIGHT FOR ONE TO BE SAVED, THEN YOU SHOULD BE SAVED TODAY.
We do not believe that it is right for one to go on unbelieving until just before death.
Rejecting Christ is the greatest sin one can be guilty of. Is it right to reject Him when you can be saved now?

2. YOU OUGHT TO BE SAVED TODAY FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT CALLS TODAY.
It is a dangerous thing to reject His call. Heb. 3:8-11; Acts 7:51.

3. THE DANGER OF HARDENING MAKES IT URGENT THAT YOU BE SAVED TODAY.
This is why children are easier than adults.
Every infidel was once a tender hearted child; so was every drunkard and every gambler.
Hardening of the heart is a much to be feared calamity of the human family.

4. THE IMMINENCE OF CHRIST COMING MAKES IT URGENT FOR YOU TO BE SAVED TODAY.
Jesus is coming again, and you will be called to face Him in judgment.
No man knows the day nor hour when He will come.

5. THE UNCERTAINTY OF LIFE AND THE CERTAINTY OF DEATH PRESS UPON SENSIBLE PEOPLE THE NECESSITY OF BEING SAVED TODAY.
Life is a fleeting thing. James 4:13-14.
We have become accustomed to sudden death. Prov. 29:1.

6. THE MOUNTING WRATH OF GOD ON ALL CHRIST REJECTING SINNERS IMPELS YOU TO BE SAVED TODAY. Hebrews. 3:11
The wicked shall be turned into hell with all the nations that forget God. Psalm 9:17. “The wicked shall be turned into hell and all nations that forget God.”

Conclusion:
Ministers are coworkers with God. They actually have the great privilege of working together with God. What is the work that they do with God? The minister who works with God does exactly what Scripture says: he “beseeches,” that is, urges, begs, and pleads with men to receive the wonderful grace of God. What is that grace? It is the glorious truth that God has provided salvation through Christ and proclaimed that salvation through Christ.
